Letter From Our Recruitment Head

Hi Everyone! My name is Ava Vollick and I have the pleasure of serving as the Vice President of Membership for Kappa Kappa Gamma this year. I have always longed for the opportunity to hold this position and now that goal has become a reality. Recruitment is what truly made me fall in love with Kappa as I felt heard, seen, and loved in every single round. 

Coming from Greenville SC, I was determined to find a diverse group of sisters from all over the country, and I am so grateful to say that Kappa is where I found that. Ever since I got my bid from kappa three years ago, I knew my purpose for this chapter was to lead our members through primary recruitment. Being involved in Kappa has given me many lifelong friendships and opportunities. The sisters within our chapter have been that shoulder to cry on, traveled across the country with me, and most importantly are the girls that I do everyday life with. I am so blessed to have served for Kappa Kappa Gamma and would not give up this experience for anything!

To incoming PNMs, 

I know you may feel weary or anxious about primary recruitment coming up. Maybe you are the girl that has always wanted to be in a sorority, maybe you never thought this is something you wanted to be a part of and are giving it a shot, or maybe you truly just want to find a lifelong sisterhood. Wherever you are at, it is normal not to know what to expect or know where this path will lead you. We truly believe that every potential new member ends up where they are supposed to be, so with that being said, be yourself. Each and every one of you will shine throughout this process. Most importantly, your sorority does not define you. We want to get to know you, so show who you truly are and what you value. Also, don’t forget to have fun! This process is truly a blast and a experience that you will never forget. We encourage all of you to trust this process because it does work, you will be able to see at every single chapter that you visit. Shake off the nerves, be yourself, AND Dream Boldly and Live Fully.
