Mental Health and Well-Being
As Kappas, we’re always looking for opportunities to give back and improve the world around us.
This includes supporting one another when it comes to mental health and well-being within our own chapter — and beyond. Kappa is proud and honored to partner with and support the following established organizations that are working to effectively address these topics and needs with compassion, authenticity, and respect.
National Alliance on Mental Illness
Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation
The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation helps Kappas pursue life’s opportunities by funding impactful programs, including financial assistance grants, member education, preserving our history and heritage, and scholarships. Learn how the Kappa Foundation helps Kappas thrive.
Join us as we commit to becoming powerful advocates for mental health and well-being. Together, we can make an incredible impact.
Epsilon Mu Philanthropy
Kappas national philanthropy is mental health and wellbeing, and Epsilon Mu has chosen to support the JED Foundation for over two years now. The JED Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and suicide prevention for teens and young adults across the country. While supporting the JED foundation, our philanthropic efforts have allowed members of our chapter to become powerful advocates for mental health and wellbeing, with many members connecting on a personal level and developing passionate philanthropic voices. Kappa is dedicated to raising awareness and reducing stigmas behind mental health through various fundraisers and service opportunities. Here at Epsilon Mu we host an annual spring and fall philanthropy event, and implement various proceeds nights throughout the semesters as well as partner with organizations for fundraising events. Our members are involved in not only Kappa’s philanthropies but also tons of other organizations and volunteer opportunities in the community like ClemsonLIFE and Clemson Miracle. Kappa’s philanthropies work to support our sisters as well. The Kappa Foundation was formed to help our sisters with whatever comes at them in life, and the foundation can provide things such as scholarships for ongoing education programs or grants for disaster relief or emergency financial situations. Kappa also has a philanthropic program called Fleurish where members can create events for charities and organizations that they are particularly passionate about, which Epsilon Mu supports. Through Fleurish, we have partnered with a local senior living center in Clemson to play bingo with them every week, lifting their spirits as well as ours. If you want to give back to a cause, Kappa rallies behind you and makes that dream come true. Learn more about The JED Foundation here! https://jedfoundation.org/
